Assignments will be posted on Mondays by noon for the week.   All Assignments are due before Fridays at noon.   Please email your instructor with the link above to turn in weekly assignment.   If you have questions or problems with the work please email the instructor or the learning support personnel that would normally assist you with your work with the links above.

Week of May 25th Assignments

Work for week of May 25th:

-This is your extended time (until Friday by noon)!

-Complete any unfinished work by the end of this week.

-Students who were enrolled in OSHA-10 must complete that course before the time runs out.

-Seniors, I want to wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.  I wish we could have finished under different circumstances but none of us could control that.  Keep in touch and let me know if you need anything.  Thanks for a good year, take care.

-Returning students, I hope to see you all again this fall!  Keep in touch as well as I will continue to check my email from time to time over the summer.  Take care!

 

 

Week of May 18th , 2020

Important information regarding Engineering Technology class:

  • WATCH FOR AN UPDATE FROM SWPA BOTSIQ IN REGARDS TO A BANNER DESIGN.  WE WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE DESIGN SUBMITTED AND IT IS THE ROCKEM SOCKEM BOTS DESIGN.  I THINK IT WILL BE VOTED ON USING SOCIAL MEDIA, JUST LIKE THE T-SHIRT DESIGNS.  PLEASE VOTE FOR IT AND SHARE IT FOR OTHERS TO VOTE ON AS WELL! 
  • You will still get your BotsIQ Shirt that you were supposed to get at Prelims.  Once I get them, I will notify you and let you know when, where, and how to pick them up. 
  • Keep checking the Admiral Peary Website for updates!
  • When sending e-mails, MAKE SURE TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE SUBJECT LINE! If you don’t, it may be filtered to the junk mail box and not received.

Week of May 11th , 2020

Important information regarding Engineering Technology class:

  • Keep checking the Admiral Peary Website for updates!
  • Mrs. Wurm asked if anyone was interested in applying for scholarships.  The information is on the Admiral Peary Website.  (It’s very easy to apply for FREE MONEY, $eniors!)
  • Engineering Tech student can pickup personal belongings on Tuesday May 12th, 8:00am-3:15pm
  • You will need to e-mail Mr. Rudnik if you intend to pick up anything.
  • Social Distancing Guidelines will be enforced (6’ apart, must wear mask, no more than 10 people in the building at a time, etc…)
  • When sending e-mails, MAKE SURE TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE SUBJECT LINE! If you don’t, it may be filtered to the junk mail box and not received.

Week of May 3rd , 2020

 

Important information regarding Engineering Technology class:

  • Dates will be assigned for students/parents to be able to come to Admiral Peary and pick up any Personal belongings (If necessary).
  • Keep watching the Admiral Peary Website for specific details!
  • Engineering Tech is currently scheduled for Tuesday May 12th, 8:00am-3:15pm
  • You will need to e-mail me if you intend to pick up anything.
  • Social Distancing Guidelines will be enforced (6’ apart, must wear mask, no more than 10 people in the building at a time, etc…)

Please do the following: (Part of Task Series 2300 BASIC ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRONICS)

  • Complete any previous assignments first (Haas CNC Certification)
  • The Tooling-u course for this week is: NEC(R) Overview 231
  • Anyone enrolled in, but has not finished their CareerSafe OSHA-10 General Safety Course should do so before their time expires!

Week of April 27th , 2020

 

Important information regarding Engineering Technology class:

  • Complete all of the Haas CNC Mill Operator classes.
  • We are moving on to Tooling-U classes.
  • Dates will be assigned for students to be able to come to Admiral Peary and pick up any Personal belongings (If necessary).
  • Keep watching the Admiral Peary Website for specific details!
  • Engineering Tech is currently scheduled for Tuesday May 12th, 8:00am-3:15pm
  • You will need to e-mail me if you intend to pick up anything.

Please do the following: (Part of Task Series 1100s: Computer Assisted Manufacturing & 1600s: Machine Controls and Automated Systems)

  • Complete any previous assignments first (Haas CNC Certification)
  • Log in to your Tooling-U account
    • E-mail me to verify that you have been able to log in.
    • E-mail me if you need login information (I will have your papers that you have written your passwords on, if you choose to do that).
    • E-mail me if you need your password reset.
  • The format will be similar to the Haas Certification but since the Tooling U course are slightly longer, I will give you more time to complete them.
  • E-mail me when you pass the test with a passing score and write a simple statement of what was the most interesting part of the class that stands out to you.
  • You will have ONLY 3 Attempts to get a passing score! Take your time.
  • The Tooling-u course for this week is: Haas Mill: Control Panel Overview 250

 

 

Week of April 20th , 2020

Important information regarding Engineering Technology class:

  • Complete all of the Haas CNC Mill Operator classes.
  • You should have started 3 weeks ago to complete on time.
  • We will be starting/continuing Tooling-U classes next week.

Please do the following:

  • E-mail me regularly, when you complete a section, so I can verify that you are working.
  • This week’s assignment is to:
    • Complete any previous assignments from the Haas Certification by this Friday!
    • Complete Chapter 11.1 on the Haas CNC Certification Site:
    • E-mail me after you complete a section.
      • Include a general statement about that section and what you have learned.
      • Include in your e-mail, how many attempts it took you to get 100%
      • For Example: “I completed Section 1.1 and learned that CNC machining is integral to modern manufacturing and it impacts almost every part of our lives in modern day society.  It took me 2 attempts to score 100%”  (No you cannot use my example as your response).
      • Please don’t work ahead until the assignments are posted each week. 
    • Log in to your Tooling-U account
      • E-mail me to verify that you have been able to log in.

  • On-line assignments are ongoing and updated each Monday!
  • Complete the assignment by Friday of that week
  • Stay on task and complete on time!
  • An “Alternate Assignment List” is available for any student not able to create a new Haas account and/or complete the Haas Mill Certification Videos.
    • There are three Alternate Assignments (One for Each Week so far)
