Program Overview

The Culinary Arts Program provides students with the opportunity to learn culinary techniques through practical application of all facets of food service.  Students are trained for entry level employment in commercial, Institutional, or self-owned food establishments. Instruction and learning include theory, lab, and work experiences related to proper selection, preparation, cooking and serving of quantity foods from fast food to banquet service. Nutrition, industry laws and regulations, safety, sanitation, and use/care of equipment, and hand tools are also emphasized. Students will also have the opportunity to become ServSafe certified before completing the program.
