Program Overview

Information Technology is an ever evolving field that encompasses a vast degree of knowledge and experience. Our Digital Media and Cybersecurity program will give students the background they need for whichever post-secondary path they chose. In addition to learning the foundations of IT and basic networking, students will be working on various multimedia projects utilizing the Adobe and Microsoft suites. Students will work through various simulations to learn how to design, edit, and publish items such as documents, images, graphics, and multimedia products. Throughout the program, students will learn how to apply HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, graphic applications and other tools into projects. Students will also be exposed to the legal and ethical issues in Internet Technology while working through practical exercises. Students will learn through a virtual lab environment that will help gain hands-on skills and a deeper understanding of Internet ethics and how to protect from malicious attacks. After completing this program,
students will be prepared to either enter the workforce or utilize a solid foundation to continue onto a post-secondary school to further their education.
